It is entitled ‘TROPABILITY”. Everything from relaxing on the beach, surfing, enjoying rum drinks at the Tiki bar, to reflective love songs for both young and old are included here. This represents my first foray into the so called ‘Trop Rock’ genre. As a songwriter, my heroes include artists such as Dan Fogelberg, The Beatles, Eagles, James Taylor, and in general, anything from the 60’s and 70’s! My music has typically been influenced by these sort of writers to varying degrees. As a lifetime beach junkie, it was easy for me to incorporate my love of the relaxed tropical lifestyle into my songwriting. I also enjoyed expanding into some previously unfamiliar musical territory with some reggae, Latin and Calypso styles, which can be heard on this album. This collection of songs was a very intense solo endeavor for the most part, but I did have the pleasure of working with some very talented guest musicians and vocalists on some of the tracks. Additionally, I had the privilege of co-writing a song with one of my favorite songwriters, Russell Dowie. The song is entitled ‘Surfin’, and it has a very cool 60’s surf music vibe! He also let me make a rendition of a very beautiful love song of his, ‘She Shines Like The Sun’, which I’ve always wanted to cover. It fits very nicely onto this album! There are 12 tracks in all, and each one will take you to the beach!

Special additional thanks to my dear friend Russel Dowie of Reality Studios for his mixing and production assistance, James Frazier of Black Dog Studios for his string arrangement and production of ‘Compass’, and to Simon Gibson of Abbey Road Studios, London, for mastering this project.

I am currently working on material for a second album entitled “Summer State Of Mind.’ I am confident that listeners who enjoy this album, will really enjoy that one as well!
